1. Start your Nevada background check and state RBT registration immediately by creating an account and submitting fingerprint forms at the Nevada ABA Board site:

2. Apply for your National Provider Identifier (NPI) through the CMS NPPES website (this can be done concurrently):
   https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/
    

3. Find and complete a BACB-compliant 40-hour RBT training course online, making sure it issues a certificate of completion required for your BACB application. You may find instructions on where to find courses here: https://www.bacb.com/rbt/?topic=rbt-apply#rbtResourceCarousel
    

4. Schedule and complete the BACB RBT competency assessment with a supervising BCBA or BCaBA after your training.
    

5. Apply to the BACB by creating an account, uploading your training certificate, competency assessment, background check receipt, and other required documents.
    

6. Schedule and take your RBT certification exam at a Pearson VUE testing center once your BACB application is approved.
